We’re in it for fun—no experience needed!

Come sometime between 11:00am & 1:00pm—we want enough people for a game J

If you are get there at 11:00am, you can meet us at the South end of the Beach House, near the admin offices. We’ll find our “court” from there. Otherwise, look for the “court with the red AI shirt hanging from the volleyball net/post. We’ll bring some Gatorade, but you should plan to have your own drinks, snacks & sunscreen…

Event will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather. Please call Student Affairs on Friday morning if you want confirmation either way or are having trouble locating us at the beach. (312-777-8615) Adam.

Alright, so for everyone that wants to go to the Volley Ball game on this Friday but doesn't know how to get there, I will be traveling from The Illinois Institute of Art to North Avenue Beach via Cta. I'll be waiting in the student lounge from 9:45 to around 10:00. We'll depart from there and head to the beach.

If you want to travel on your own, simply Google "North Avenue Beach". The picture above is what I received when I used Google maps.

See you there!

Volley Ball Game on the 21st

For those of you who are interested, The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago will be hosting a volleyball game on the 21st of this month. It will be held on a nearby beach and all students are strongly encouraged to come! Take advantage of a change to introduce yourself to your peers and enjoy a little sun and sand in the mean time. Plus who can't resist a little friendly beatdown (I meant competition, I swear).

For details, drop me a email (or comment) with your email so I can send you details. Or skip the middle step and follow this blog to receive updates on upcoming events on and off campus.

See you guys there! :)

Open Mic Night on Campus

Yesterday August 12th, students from all majors enjoyed singing, poetry readings and instrumental songs written and preformed by none other then the students themselves. As their peer, it was really nice to see them openly express their talents to friends who may not have known otherwise. I admit I sang a song (not really well) but was glad to be introduced to 2 new people that may be great contacts later down the line (and may even teach me how to sing). ::laughs::

Hope to see you guys at the next open mic!
